Buy them out of whatever current contracts they're in (which will be next to worthless anyway). -----Original Message----- From: ]\\[][G}{T§TÖ®]v[ [mailto:swhite@tucker-usa.com] Sent: Thursday, July 04, 2002 11:17 PM To: The New Improved Less Lame List Subject: Re: [ Creed Discuss ] Here's a question The one problem that they might still run into is not a major record company absorbing them, but Blue Collar Records. Creed, I'm sure, are almost done fulfilling their contractual obligations... and the band recently rehashed their own label, right? Think they'll re-sign with Wind-up, or take their ball and go home? If Wind-Up looses Creed, they're all lost... and a lot of truly magnificent bands will be caught under the rubble. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Lee Reed" To: Sent: Thursday, July 04, 2002 11:04 PM Subject: Re: [ Creed Discuss ] Here's a question > even when i first started getting into the windup bands, i thought > they spent an awful lot of time and effort on creed...i initially > forgave that, thinking that this was their first band to go big...and > then, drowning pool > got kinda big...i thought, okay, here we go...yet what have they done > for them?...and they stalled on AP and F11 stuff...and then the whole > shit went > down with Dust For Life...and i heard rumblings from F11...and have > since formed the opinion i wrote before...i truly think they > (windup)jumped in with both feet before they knew how deep the water > really was...and maybe they're too proud to ask for help...i've > dabbled in public relations, and i > would be more than happy to help promote the bands in any way i can, > as well, beyond street teaming...i doubt windup is going to go under, > with creed to their credit...but i see a shakeup in management in > their future...or else absorption by a major label, if they don't get > their shit straight... > > > >From: ]\\\\[][G}{T§TÖ®]v[ > >Reply-To: The New Improved Less Lame List > >To: "The New Improved Less Lame List" > >Subject: Re: [ Creed Discuss ] Here's a question > >Date: Thu, 4 Jul 2002 22:55:38 -0700 > > > >You know, if they paid my bandwidth, and flipped me a free CD or > >signed picture and maybe some concert tickets every once in a while, > >I would be more than willing to take on the administration of their > >mailing lists and > >Bulletin boards... hell, I wouldn't even really need them to pay the > >bandwidth.
